Antelopes and mustard yellow. Yummy combination, no? Sometimes I think my friends think I’m kind of weird when they see my ensembles in the morning. I really don’t care. Weird can be pretty, too. And yes, that is a fake tattoo I have on there. Tried it out for a week, then eventually got sick of it. It kept catching my eye one too many times throughout the day. Way too distracting. ha. Not sure if I am exactly a tattoo sort of person, but I do love them a lot on other people. But hey, I might end up going for something a little more subtle if I ever do decide to go for the real thing. I never say never.

Come Home by Chappo

Just saw this band play last night in an intimate setting and it was EPIC. Confetti, feathers, a balloon fight, and a very talented band. What more can I say?

Say hello to my new camera traveling buddy. The Brooklyn bag by ONA is the bomb. It’s in a classic and subtle style and made out of a vegetable-tanned leather. It protects my SLR and can hold an additional 3 lenses or other accessories I need to bring along with me. Practical and smart on the inside, and a total babe on the outside!
Now you have the chance to win your choice of ONA’s Brooklyn bag in either black or chestnut.
All you have to do is like the ONA Facebook page, follow them on Twitter, and leave a comment below of what you think of this bag with your name and email address.
One winner will be randomly selected in a week! This contest is only open to U.S. readers!

So happy that I can now feel east coast summer creeping slowly upon us. It brings back memories of when my sister and I first came to NYC for a mini summer trip two years ago. It was then that we both fell in love with the hustle and bustle of the city. Then I moved to Philly a year later. And Natalie went to NYC not longer after. Literally weeks. Crazy how things work out in the end. This time of the year is such a dessert for me. I always want to savor every taste of the days and nights. Can’t wait to start doing more of those warm weather things like farmer’s markets, festivals in the park, and bike riding until my legs can’t cycle anymore. It has been raining quite a lot on the east coast right now, but the air is still warm and slightly humid. But even when the water is splashing all around me, you can still only find me in shorts, little dresses, and sandals. Can’t take the California out of this girl. Heck no. Last night after a day of shooting with our friends Zoey and Keymea for Zoey’s DISCO PONY pony line, Natalie and I took it easy with a stroll around the city, dinner at our favorite Vietnamese place, and some people watching at Washington Square Park. We always randomly meet the sweetest, most interesting people at this park. Just like we did when we first came to NYC. We are lucky to have the sun out today and I’m going to soak it all up.

These pictures were taken way back in February, during NYFW. It was freezing cold and we needed to find a spot to escape the chill in before a presentation. Thank goodness Chelsea Market is conveniently located near Milk Studios. It is the epitome of everything I love:  delicious food,  good-looking people, pretty decorations, sparkling lights, um . . . did I say food? It definitely was hustling and bustling on this random evening, and this just made the place feel warmer and friendlier. I need to make sure to make another pit stop there while I am in NYC this weekend!
