Day one of NYFW was one of the craziest for me this season! Still haven’t had time to go through all my photos from this, but a photo diary will be coming soon. I just wanted to share with you my outfit from this day. As you can see, I decided to work with mostly vintage this time around. We started the morning bright and early at the 9AM ZIMMERMANN show at Lincoln Center, which got a standing ovation from me. Punk rebel vibes all around, mixed in with flashes of soft pastels, including my favorite sea foam green. They know my heart. We stopped by the Hudson Hotel afterwards for the Rebecca Vallance presentation which made me want to rethink the general bohemian direction of my current wardrobe and replace it with clean white lines. Then off to the Kate Spade presentation. Always a reliable source of Gossip Girl-esque color-blocking inspiration. Before heading back to Lincoln Center, we swung by the COACH presentation, which was absolutely fantastic! Fall 2014 will mark the brand’s very first ever apparel and outerwear collection. The presentation was a multi-dimensional experience that projected their soon-to-come re-vamped image. Think Rag & Bone meets ACNE meets Marc Jacobs. But better. Then it was Rebecca Minkoff, Nicole Miller and Charlotte Ronson. Oh wow, that’s 7 shows in one day. We decided to skip the parties at night and indulged in Vietnamese food instead. Totally worth it.
