Another overcast afternoon exploring the dreamy and narrow streets of Florence (Firenze). It’s always interesting to me to notice the things that draw my eye when I’m traveling and exploring a new city. While the city of Florence as a whole is whimsical and grand with its neutral colors that radiate like a calmly burning fire off its buildings and streets, it’s the little colorful details that sweep me up the most. Like a gate painted a bold blue against all tan. A baby pink bike peeking out from a corner of navy blue and forest green ones. A marigold blanket hanging to dry from a window and fluttering in a breeze that you can imagine to be a summer breeze. A red stop sign that doesn’t yell, but kindly tells you to slow down and look both ways. A drive by rainbow melody of happy balloons taking the party wherever it goes. Little magical moments like this catch me eye, and I can’t help but do everything I can to capture them. So I can always remember. Much like how I’m drawn to the bold blue of this denim skirt. It’s casual but holds significance in its shape and saturation. I’m from California, so my denim goes with me everywhere I go.
Here are more lovely denim skirts I’m a fan of:
