A summer heart lives within me all year round. I secretly pine for summer each and every day when it is not here. And when it is finally here, I never want it to end. I dream of summer love and salty kisses that give glowing cheeks, and hair that is rarely brushed because there are far too many other interesting things to do instead. The season of endless rendezvous, too much drinking and staying up way past our bedtimes. Where there is nothing not to smile about. An easy energy that is hard to explain but that exists within us all. An energy that we sometimes don’t realize until its gone. It’s here and then it’s gone in an instant. So grasp it while you can kids. As if you might never have it again.
