Jumping for joy because it’s Friday. Well, maybe not a high jump. Maybe a little hop . . . I’m a little sleep deprived, I’m sorry. And unlike last Friday (which was full of Coachella chaos), this one, although filled with the regular flow of work, means a start of a weekend to lay my head on my pillow a little bit longer. Finish that book I started on my last plane ride to Los Angeles. Do some grocery shopping and cook that meal that I screen capped off Pinterest. Practice my lonely guitar and sing a song purely for myself. Facetime my boyfriend. Organize my wardrobe. Again. Visit my friend’s cat and have a craft beer at my favorite beer spot. Write something better than what I am writing right here right now. haha. Oh the struggles of writer’s block. Brooklyn sounds like the perfect peaceful alternative to the bustling and loud Manhattan. I only got back to the city yesterday and already the sounds of the subway screeching to a halt seemed strikingly louder than normal. Getting caught on the NQR during rush hour is a cringeworthy process that I try to dodge as often as possible. But yesterday, guess what, I was trapped. What is happening? I’m not sure. All I know is that I am missing the sunshine in front of this pink wall on the side of Pink Taco on Sunset Blvd. It might take a weekend for me to get back to regular programming here in NYC. But that’s ok. I like it better when things take time. Everything goes at its own pace, like the process of unpacking from my last trip, and I’ve come to learn to accept that. I find myself happier that way. hehe. Happy Friday lovers. What’s on your weekend list?
