This is definitely the summer of me trying new things when it comes to my beauty regimen. And hey why not? Summer is a time to enjoy all the little moments, not worry about hairy legs when you forget to shave and are stuck with only a bikini. I just started using the iluminage PRECISE TOUCH permanent hair removal device, and it has made my life so much easier. First of all, it’s special because it’s the only FDA-cleared technology for permanent hair removal results on all skin tones, and clinically proven to be effective on the widest range of hair colors. My body hair is dark brown, and while I’ve always shaved and never had a problem always shaving, if I miss a spot, it can be very noticeable. Those damn hairs on the knees are always so annoying! Not sure if anyone else notices, but I sure do! The ilumiange PRECISE TOUCH is super focused for these kinds of areas, which is great, although I am also currently using it on my lower legs area right now.
It uses a combination of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) energies, which are attracted to the hair follicle and prevents re-growth, and Radio Frequency (RF) energies, which are a secondary heat source that delivery energy to the hair follicle, eliminating the need to target pigment in the hair. And this can all happen in the comfort of your own home. How convenient, eh?!
And for someone who is only used to using shavers, this device was super simple. It’s almost the same thing, just more focused and with repeated actions to deliver the right amount of energies to the areas you want to target. First, prepare the skin by removing hair from the surface of the skin. I make sure to do a close shave all over my legs and knees. Turn on the device, and select the level of energy you want to apply (low, medium, or high). Glide the device over targeted areas once a week for seven treatments over a period of six weeks. Of course, there might be some touch ups on certain areas after this full treatment course, so just give them some extra loving. I’m excited to see how my legs will be looking after a few weeks! I’ll keep you guys posted! It’s also great for underarm and annoying facial hair, too 🙂
