Embrace Your Lips | eos

June 8, 2015
Every woman has a part of herself she loves the most. Maybe it’s her hair. It could be her eyes. It could be her legs. It could be the freckles on her nose. Or the bump on the edge of her nose. Why, it could even be something funny like her elbows. Or something cool like the tattoo on her shoulder blade. Whatever it is, that part of herself should be cared for and nurtured for all of eternity. It might not be other people’s favorite thing about her, but the only thing that matters is that it is her favorite thing, and it injects the confidence she needs to get her through her days.
What’s my favorite thing about myself? You know, other than my sparkling personality and impeccable humor (just kidding). I guess it’s always been my lips. I’ve always appreciated my full lips that I inherited from my mom and dad. I love to laugh and smile, so I try to make sure to keep my lips in check and keep them in tip top shape. One’s mouth in a way is similar to how the eyes are the windows to the soul, if you really think about it! You can tell a lot about someone about what their mouth and lips are doing. So I like to keep the smiles all around with my lips smooth and moisturized. It makes me feel more confident! I’m a huge fan of lip gloss, lipstick and lip stains and all that jazz, so having a perfect foundation for that top coat is essential, especially during long days out on the job. And this is where EOS Smooth Sphere Lip Balm comes into play. My favorite flavor is Pomegranate Raspberry. It’s 95% organic, 100% natural and paraben and petrolatum free. So you can be sure that it’s good for you. Full of the antioxidant vitamin E, shea butter and jojoba oil, you can feel the difference it makes for your lips as soon as you put it on. I carry my Smooth Sphere Lip Balm with me everywhere I go. It’s the first thing I put on in the morning and the last thing I put on at night. I really can’t get enough.
Now I say that let’s all embrace our lips, all shapes and sizes and colors, and treat them well. They’re worth it 🙂

Beauty | Physicians Formula Argan Wear

May 27, 2015

Apparently, my week in Puerto Rico a while back still wasn’t enough to get me to that golden bronze color every girl dies for in the summertime. I’ve never been on to be okay with using a tanning salon, so I’m always looking for the next big thing to help me achieve that glow in the most natural route possible (without killing my skin with UV rays or looking like a carrot). Physicians Formula‘s line of 100% Pure Argan Oil (“liquid gold”) products has come out as the winner for me in this beauty arena.

I’m head-over-heels over the multi-usability of the brand’s Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Oil. I’ve been starting my days and ending my nights off with this weightless miracle oil that has without a doubt improved the brightness, tone, texture, and elasticity of my skin pretty dramatically in just the short amount of time that I have been using it. Just a drop or two goes a long way on my skin. A gentle rub on my face is all it needs to effortlessly absorb, working as a moisturizer, primer and protector all at once. The dewy look it gives the skin on my face is a plus, as well. And I never feel or look greasy. I’ve been using it on the ends of my hair on the daily, as well. I just wet my hair lightly with a spray bottle, drop some oil into the palms of my hands, and rub it into the ends of my hair and then let it air dry. It softens and adds that lusted-after shine.

Now, onto achieving that glow that I was speaking of before. Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Oil Bronzer has been my go-to when it comes to getting that touch of bronze on my face. It’s infused with 100% Pure Argan Oil and has a touch of shimmer to add to that sunlit, dewy look. It’s as if you just came back from a trip to Morocco (something that I’ve been thinking about quite a lot actually!). The color is easy to control, coming out pretty subtly in the beginning, but can be layered on and on for a more dramatic bronze color. I was pretty pasty before my Key West, Florida trip this past Memorial Day weekend, so this bronzer was an ultimate lifesaver for my pale self!

So now, what do you guys think about my new faux glow look that looks anything but faux?

Beauty Files | The Amplified Lash

L’Oreal Voluminous Miss Manga Mascara // SHOP HERE
___
Recently I’ve been skipping the liquid liner for a simple shadowed eye flavored up with a more intense lash. I’m talking about thick and long mod lashes. Twiggy status. I haven’t been more excited about a mascara before. L’Oreal’s Miss Manga mascara is the bomb diggity bomb. The lash brush actually flexes, that way it gives more coverage to each lash, creating an amplified look. Who uses false lashes anyways? This is so much easier and less time consuming. My friends always joke that my selfless are sometimes somewhat verging Kawaii status, so this mascara is totally fitting to my alter ego. Give it a go, and you’ll see what I mean.

Beauty Files | Sunday Riley

January 26, 2015
I’m a huge fan of discovering and testing out new products that can shake up my skincare routine in a progressive way. One of my latest and brightest finds in this department is the luxury skincare brand Sunday Riley. I have been regularly using their Effortless Breathable Tinted Primer for two weeks and already my skin has seen a positive difference. It’s almost as if my skin can actually breathe more! This super sheer primer feels extremely lightweight, with just the tiniest splash of color that still seems to cover up any extra redness I have. I slasher a light layer of it over my daily moisturizer and then just finish off with some concealer for a simple weekend face. This might seem a little too bare for most, but I always believe that the most important part of feeling good about the way you look starts with the foundation of your skin. Once you have that, everything else is just extra. Maybe just a quick curl of the lashes and a filled-in brow, that’s it.
A bonus of this tinted primer is that it is fortified with Rejuvenox, an antioxidant complex that helps oxegenize and plump up the skin by reducing and neutralizing the amount of free radicals that cause damage and aging. Hey, I’m all for that! I love science!
Check out some of the other Sunday Riley products that I have been using lately, as well 🙂
