This is definitely the summer of me trying new things when it comes to my beauty regimen. And hey why not? Summer is a time to enjoy all the little moments, not worry about hairy legs when you forget to shave and are stuck with only a bikini. I just started using the iluminage PRECISE TOUCH permanent hair removal device, and it has made my life so much easier. First of all, it’s special because it’s the only FDA-cleared technology for permanent hair removal results on all skin tones, and clinically proven to be effective on the widest range of hair colors. My body hair is dark brown, and while I’ve always shaved and never had a problem always shaving, if I miss a spot, it can be very noticeable. Those damn hairs on the knees are always so annoying! Not sure if anyone else notices, but I sure do! The ilumiange PRECISE TOUCH is super focused for these kinds of areas, which is great, although I am also currently using it on my lower legs area right now.

It uses a combination of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) energies, which are attracted to the hair follicle and prevents re-growth, and Radio Frequency (RF) energies, which are a secondary heat source that delivery energy to the hair follicle, eliminating the need to target pigment in the hair. And this can all happen in the comfort of your own home. How convenient, eh?!

And for someone who is only used to using shavers, this device was super simple. It’s almost the same thing, just more focused and with repeated actions to deliver the right amount of energies to the areas you want to target. First, prepare the skin by removing hair from the surface of the skin. I make sure to do a close shave all over my legs and knees. Turn on the device, and select the level of energy you want to apply (low, medium, or high). Glide the device over targeted areas once a week for seven treatments over a period of six weeks. Of course, there might be some touch ups on certain areas after this full treatment course, so just give them some extra loving. I’m excited to see how my legs will be looking after a few weeks! I’ll keep you guys posted! It’s also great for underarm and annoying facial hair, too 🙂

Free People | November Catalog

November 5, 2014
November means the holiday season is officially here! And in turn, that means we can finally indulge ourselves in a far more sparkly and extravagant way of dressing (to match what we’ll be eating this season, too, of course). Free People did it right with their latest November catalog, featuring three different in-season fashion stories suited for all our tastes. Decadent brocades and velvet make for some sexy slinking around during the Christmas party. Wine in hand. All black, boyish looks are dapper and easy enough to face the crowds during all those holiday shopping trips. And boho luxe patterns make the ones who endlessly wander feel okay with the idea of heading back home and staying put for a little bit longer this season. What are you wanting to wear the most this holiday season?
And shop some of my favorite Free People Limited Edition dresses below:

Natalie and I were lucky to be a part of Nicole Miller‘s Fall 2014 campaign, #NMWarrior. The campaign is inspired by female warriors, which today’s interpretation is made up of strong women who embrace a fearless sense of fashion and perspective on life.  The upcoming Nicole Miller fall collection exudes today’s modern warrior woman to a T.  A woman who doesn’t take the mainstream or sage path.
“You don’t have to wear a suit to feel strong”
That’s the motto coming out of this campaign. I think it is the motto of many young women today, like Natalie and I. Young, working women on the go. For us, every single day is different and what we wear reflects who we are and what we do. We work in fashion, but we aren’t defined by fashion regulations. We wear what we want and we wear to be the characters we want to take on that day, and most of all we wear what makes us feel confident in our own skin.
Check out the video below to see how Nat and I conquer the day #NMWarrior style:
