Long and Short

October 19, 2010

This editorial from UK Vogue October 2010 featuring Lily Donaldson is one of my favorites because it is so darn wearable. Not too mention that the soft lighting and effortless grace of Donaldson’s modeling ways are particularly pretty. As you all know, I have a soft spot for skirts this season, both long and short, and this editorial shows you exactly how I want to be wearing them. From glitzy sequins to utilitarian leather, skirts are making a statement in all sorts of fabrics. Get excited for it.

The thunder woke and freaked me out this morning, and it’s been raining on and off. This is unusual October weather for me. How is the weather in your neck of the woods?

Alexa Tee

October 18, 2010

Playing around with my camera in my Alexa Tee, illustrated by the wonderful Lacee Swan. Lacee is a Brooklyn, New York-based artist. Check out her website here! If you like this tee, you can order it here, where you can also get tees with her illustrations of other style icons/models like Daisy Lowe, Dree Hemingway, and Karlie Kloss. I chose Alexa because I adore her so much! Now when I need a little Chung inspiration, all I have to do is throw on this shirt and I’m good to go! Sweet 🙂

The weather is supposed to be dreary and gray this entire week. Not good for taking outfit pictures, but I will see what I can do. At least I still have some shots from this past weekend to update the blog with. You shall see later. In the meantime, say hello to another Manic Monday. Crazy how they keep coming and going like jet planes or a cheetah running across an African savannah.

Skirts, Skirts, Skirts

October 14, 2010
As you can tell, skirts of all lengths are totally on my mind this fall season. They feel and look so whimsical and charming to me. I love a long flowing maxi length and even Alexa Chung’s adorable 50’s throwback piece. Gothic, sheer, floral, pastel . . . I want them all. Have skirts captured your heart, too?
