Angels In The Outfield

February 13, 2011
Dress – Free People, Jacket – Volcom, Jeans – SOLD Design Lab, Shoes – ModCloth
I’m leaving for Las Vegas today with Natalie for the WWDMAGIC Trade Show and Teen Vogue Blogger Lounge! I am so excited to see what they have in store for us bloggers for the 3 day event. I have packed a good variety of pieces and I know exactly how I want to wear them, so I’m not feeling too stressed. I also threw in some pretty dresses for the nights out because Vegas is the desert city that never sleeps. My camera and flip camera are ready to go and capture it all!

Before I leave, here’s an outfit from this past week; a look that I would like to say is both casual and romantic at the same time. I haven’t taken this jacket off in days. The green cargo jacket is definitely an essential, and especially so for spring! How have I lived without one like this for so long before? It’s so easy to wear! This one is from Volcom and it is perfectly lightweight so I can wear it well into the summer. I’m already seeing myself pairing it with stripes and polka dots.
I gotta run. I’ll be updating about my Vegas adventures on Twitter for the next few days, so make sure to follow me!

And check out this fun interview I did with Rebecca from the blog See You in Sweden! Thanks Rebecca!

Bring On Spring

February 12, 2011
These pictures were taken last summer in New York City, in Central Park to be exact. Many of you who have been following me for the past year have already seen this outfit from that trip, but I was inspired to post these since NYFW has started and all my favorite bloggers are in my favorite city. Since I am not going to be in New York for fashion week this season, I’ve been taking a trip down memory lane and looking through my NYC pictures. Gosh, I had such a good time. There really is no place like NYC. I’ve never known a city before to literally pulsate with life. Well, this floral dress reminds me of spring and I am in such a spring mood. I’m feeling fresh vibes like the new season to come. It’s a beautiful feeling indeed.

You Can Call Me Fringey

Cardigan – BB Dakota from Shopbop, Tank – Forever 21, Jeans – SOLD DESIGN LAB courtesy of Dietch PR, Boots – vintage from Crossroads, Hat – vintage, Bag – French Connection
Just another day out in another casual yet bohemian-inspired look. I can’t get enough of this cardigan. I definitely feel Janis Joplin-worthy in it. Where’s my microphone baby? I’ve been searching what seems like the world over for a black wool hat kind of like this one, but with a wider brim. H&M had a cute one, but it fit my head funny. Any place else I should look? I have a round head, so my options aren’t too expansive. GAH! My head is so annoying!

In other exciting news, Volcom is sending my sister and I to the WWDMAGIC trade show and Teen Vogue Blogger Lounge in Las Vegas next week. I am so excited! It will be three days of fashion people galore, bloggers around every corner (I’m really looking forward to hopefully meeting Jane Aldridge from Sea of Shoes), fashion panels, and paaaaaaaaaaarties (one is kind of hush hush). But this adventure brings on another dilemma. What should I pack?? I want to pack light, but you know how that goes. Nothing in my closet seems right. What’s a girl to do? I really don’t want to break my shopping diet. But I am sure that I can work with what I already have in my closet. Looks like it’s time for me to get creative. As a blogger, I am very good at that, even though it seems like the hardest thing ever sometimes. Let’s see what happens. Hopefully, I will put together an awesome video of the whole trip for you guys since I just got a hold of a great video production program! Can’t wait!
