Wildly Striped

Faux Fur Jacket – vintage, Top – Madewell, Jeans – Hudson, Bag – Givenchy, Belt – vintage, Shoes – Kate Spade

I’ve been looking for a cropped faux leopard jacket for ages that I could wear more casually, and this vintage one fit the bill perfectly. Also, its cropped sleeves ensure that I can wear it far into spring. Can’t wait! Stripes go with just about any print out there, so with leopard it went. Stripes, leopard print, and a wine-red pucker. Three things that never go out of style.

Unlike many of you, I’m one of those people who never watched Sex and the City when it was running on HBO. Now that it’s rerunning on E! Network every night, starting from the beginning, I’m finally jumping on the SATC bandwagon (although years late), and I am finally understanding what the obsession is all about. I cannot get enough of it! I totally want to be Carrie and I think Aiden is such a cutie 🙂

And check out my feature on The Los Angeles Examiner website here. It was written by Christina of Profesh Style! Thanks Christina!

Man Candy

January 22, 2011

Since it’s Saturday, I thought it would be nice to take a little break from posting pictures of myself on here (I’m sure your sick of my mug by now. haha.), and instead feature a handsome young man just for your viewing delight. This is when Spanish model Jon Kortajarena comes in and takes over. Is there really anything more I need to say? Those chiseled features. That hair. That smile. That physique. That accent. Not only is he extremely good looking, but the guy can actually model, going from a scruffy dude stranded on an island to a pulled-together business man on Wall Street in the blink of an eye. But I prefer him just the way he looks like in these pictures. Natural and gorgeous. Basically, I am gah gah for Jon Kortajarena. Can you blame me?

HAPPY SATURDAY!

What I Wore . . .

January 19, 2011

Blazer – vintage, Top – vintage courtesy of Calico, Jeans – SOLD Design Lab, Boots – vintage, Belt – vintage, Jewelry – Forever 21

I am sure the majority of you have already seen most of these behind-the-scene pictures on Natalie and Jules’ blogs. These are a few of my favorite shots from their Mango video shoot that was shot last Friday. It was lots of fun hanging out with my favorite girls and support them at their shoot, as well as Jade, who I met for the first time (she’s a beauty blogger and makeup/hair stylist)! I thought it would be nice to show you better shots of what I was wearing that day, since Natalie did happen to shoot a few of me. It was blazing hot that day, and I was totally not dressed for the weather, but I felt good anyways! I was playing photographer for the day, so I just kept things casual with a touch of color. And I’m wearing mostly vintage 🙂 But I really loved the Mango outfits Jules and Natalie put together for the video! Those red pants are super hot and that long beige bohemian dress is a piece that I am craving for my wardrobe this upcoming spring! Oh, and I adored Jules’ leopard sandals. They are so cute, just like her! My girls did such an awesome job at the shoot and I cannot wait to see the end result!

In other news, I still haven’t had the chance to tackle all the questions you guys had for my Q&A post, but I hope to get them answered soon. I have just been so busy lately, and by the time I get home from work I am totally exhausted! But I will try my best 🙂
