Been working all week like a mad woman, so keeping I’m this one short, and colorful, until I’m recharged again. Yesterday, Nat and I shot all day with the Bobeau team for their fall look book featuring their B Collection. Our friend Vu was photographer, and the day was seamless and energetic. What an amazing day to spend a Wednesday in Los Angeles. One that ended with drinks and food at our hotel with new friends. Now I’m lying in bed at the Ace Hotel in Downton Los Angeles, thinking about the upcoming weekend back in NYC. Just a few more shoots with Nat today and tomorrow, and we can call it a week! Being productive is such a motivator for me I’ve realized. What else motivates me? Color, of course. This vintage coat was passed onto me from my mother. It’s like a dose of sugar. Skittles to be exact. I never knew that I could taste the rainbow in the form of a wool coat before. Now I know I can. Happy Thursday lovelies. Hope you all cross some important things off your list this week, as well, and enjoy the weekend to come.

I’ve been in Southern California since a few days before Christmas, and I’m still getting used to those very weird, and very slow, days in-between Christmas and New Years. New York City is now in my blood, and it’s hard to adjust sometimes to days like these where time seems unlimited. Schedules are thrown out the window. Due dates are lax. And time constraint nearly invisibly. I’ve been lazily editing from bed, and typing out the rambling thoughts in my head haphazardly onto my Google Document drive in the hopes that they turn into usable blog content. I’m currently still on semi-vacation, but only because my inbox is quieter for the time being. But I’m sure that’s all to change very, very soon. There are many things that still remind me of New York City, even from all the way over on this side. Like this coat from Lie Sangbong for example. 100% wool and cut masculine to a T. Leather trimming making it truly unique. It looks classic but feels different. And I appreciate it so much for these reasons. Here I was on the chilly streets of NYC before the holidays. Rays of Vitamin D hardly having an effect on my frozen fingertips, but still I felt the need to capture photos in direct sunlight. Everyone dashing around me running last minute this and thats before going home for the holidays. And now, here I am today, the holidays nearly over, out in Central California by the beach, this coat still on my back and being just as effective, but in a way feeling a bit out of place. Rarely do I wear a coat in the winter in California! California has been feeling less like the endless summer that I know, but that’s okay. Luckily, I’m good at accepting changes. And what a time to be good at that right?! Happy New Year babes!!

Just wanted to throw this one at you before rolling out the California photos. And then back to winter mode REAAAALLLL SOOOOON.

Happy holidays all you lovely people. This space can get a little slow around this time of the year because I’m spending time with family and friends, making the most of my time to put work aside. I’m here back home in California, although these past few days feel far from what I’m used to when I visit home. I mean when it comes to the weather. The skies have been overcast with rain coming down heavy and steady throughout the day. What is happening?! But today is Christmas Eve and the sun is finally shining, and everything feels brand new even if I have my winter coat still on my back. The new year is brimming with shiny gold things, and I’m looking forward to it all so much. It’s crazy how much everything seems possible at this point in life right now. I’ve realized that when I look back at the past year, few months, few days, and look forward at what is capable of coming to life into something tangible in the future, I feel completely happy about it all. I think it’s because this past year has been the one where I had the clearest perspective and awareness of everything that surrounded me. I opened my eyes and hearts to a lot of people and things that made me feel good and protected. I listened more to other perspectives, and let them not overshadow my own, but complement them in a smarter, more comprehensive way. I’m not sure how it happened, but it did, and I’m so grateful for that. Grateful for where it brought me.

Hope you all spend your days with those you love unconditionally, and who make you feel your best. Everyone deserves that, especially around this time of the year. Talk soon. But I’ll leave you with a look from New York City a few weeks ago. This coat is really something unique. While on the hunt for my final winter purchase of the year, I knew that I had to snag this one It’ll keep me warm for many, many winter to come. xx
