Think Pink

Araks lingerie set

Laundry day in one of my favorite sets by Araks. They make lingerie that is sustainable and evergreen and I can really stand behind that! Respect your body by wearing lingerie that respects our earth. I’ve been working out every single day for about an hour, more or less, with just one rest day these past few weeks in a very balanced way that works for me. It really has been making me feel good about myself. Not just with how I physically look, but how I mentally feel. These endorphins really change up the way I live out my day. There is more motivation behind everything I do, and I feel a lot of it comes from the time I spend clearing my head during a good workout. Even the act of doing laundry feels like anything but a required task. And wearing cute lingerie feels like an act of self love and wellness . . . like a way of giving back to my body for all that it provides for me. Pink also just happens to be my happy color, so I like to wear it when I can. And there are so many wears to wear it that doesn’t make me feel too girlish or too young. Pink can feel so powerful when you decide that you want it to be. And this is exactly the case right here. Now that’s a very powerful load of laundry right there!

From My Side of the Bridge

March 20, 2020

Sandro clothing
Maje purse

This photo was taken a few weeks back, the first time I took a walk on the Brooklyn Bridge after quite some time. This bridge is what made me fall in love with NYC in the first place, and in a way confirmed my decision to move here. It breaks my heart to see my city come to a standstill like this, and for us to be unable to do all the NYC things that bring us so much joy. But it’s all for the better. I’m glad that I still can get a view of this bridge from my rooftop, and that will be good enough for now. Good luck with your self-quarantines everyone. Not going to lie, I am enjoying how relaxedly time passes at home these days. Still, I hope we get better sooner than later.

Three NYFW Looks from September

March 20, 2020

Three of my favorite looks from this past NYFW in February. Two looks feature pieces from one of my favorite places to shop for cool pieces online, Farfetch. The Marine Serre moon print bodysuit was a fun one for a rainy day. And the fancy Ganni feather dress was so fun to wear. I paired them with tall boots to go out. The look with my blue Saks Potts coat might be one of my favorite, because the color was so standout.

Which one is your favorite?

Ritz Carlton South Beach

March 20, 2020

This is a photo diary from the most relaxed weekend ever in Miami. Even with the weather mostly cloudy and very windy, the 71 degrees felt extremely therapeutic. Thank you Ritz Carlton South Beach for feeding us some amazing meals, giving us such high quality service, and providing us with the coziest room to binge watch movies and listen to the ocean all night long from. The Art Deco in the hotel was so beautiful, and the little touches here and there in the rooms really made the place feel extra chic without being overdone at all. We stayed within a 3 block radius of the hotel our entire trip, as we came with the intention of being homebodies away from home, and it was fantastic. The day after I got back from this trip, the pandemic was beginning to get into full swing mode in NYC, and things felt like they changed in an instant. Gabi and I almost cancelled this trip because of the all the talk on the news the week beforehand, but it wasn’t as serious yet and so we decided to go. I am grateful that we had this last weekend to spend together someplace away from home. We didn’t do much but enjoy each others company, and amongst all the comforts the Ritz Carlton South Beach provided. We are continuing to enjoy each other’s company here at home, and I feel lucky that I have a man like the one I have to be by my side every single day of this. Everything happening right now is a great reminder that nothing should ever be taken for granted.
