I remember seeing advertisements for the @chanel.b

I remember seeing advertisements for the @chanel.beauty Chance fragrance as a young girl in the magazines and I felt how much the visuals of a girl embracing a larger than life bottle sparked creative dreams and desires for my future. I spent hours taking in fictional stories, writing short stories of my own in the backyard, playing dress up in my mom’s closet and the aisles of thrift stores, and building my imagination and my own perspective through a looking glass where anything seemed possible, even to someone as shy and quiet as me at the time. Fashion and storytelling was truly an outlet for me even if it was something brewing only in my head at first. I truly believe that all the chances I had the confidence to take in the real world as a young adult and grown human today stems from those early days of day dreaming and believing and finding comfort in possibility and also in patience. There are still so many chances through the looking glass to be taken, and I believe that they can be taken on our own terms. Thank you to my husband for helping me bring to life my vision in this little video. ❤️ @welovecoco #welovecoco

All of a sudden we are nearing the end of October,

All of a sudden we are nearing the end of October, while this time last year felt as if it was yesterday. Time goes by faster in the city there’s no doubt about that, but I’ve realized that letting go of the control that time has on us is the only way to live life. I won’t allow myself to worry that we are running out of days where it’ll still be too warm for a proper coat. I won’t even allow myself to start thinking about January yet. I’m just waking up to the scent of the second cup of coffee I’ll be making right after I press post.

HOW TO GET THE MIU MIU LOOK (With What’s Already In My Closet).

I love how Miu Miu elevated the simple turtleneck sweater on their F/W 2023 runway. As if I needed another reason to dive into the closet and find the pieces that I haven’t worn as much to recreate this look.

I started with this cashmere turtleneck sweater from @autumncashmere and a pair of grey tights from @tabio.usa. These sequined micro shorts were detached from a white shirt romper piece from @elisabettafranchi, the metallic sandals are from @larroude, and the bag is Miu Miu from @vestiaireco.
