I’ve been listening to a lot of old French music recently and something came over me. There’s something about that French New Wave cinema, too. That “follow no rules, break tradition” sort of mindset. Something I want to do more of in 2021 . . . find ways to create with less restriction. These video clips just happened to be random in-between content for something else I was shooting, but it just came together in a way that makes me feel like I’m playing a character I’ve seen in the cinema. And is that why we dress up many days? To play another version of ourselves? I want to keep exploring this escapism concept!
