Slipped into my ballet slippers the other day. I’ve always loved dance. I was never an amazing dancer but it truly has always been something that gave me a priceless joy. It was a place my imagination could run wild even despite physical restraints. I stopped dancing more after my scoliosis surgery when I was around 18/19, as I’m definitely not as bendy as I once was, but there’s still a lot I haven’t lost. It’s truly something I enjoy just for myself and has me feeling super nostalgic. An innocent joy of the past that still comes to me in flashes at the most odd of hours that I’ll give into because … why not?
