Never again taking for granted being able to go and see special places like this on earth. Before the pandemic, we were traveling at least twice a month and I hardly had time to grasp in those days how much that actually was. Getting onto a plane felt second nature. Just another part of the routine. Getting over jet lag was just another normal box to check in the to-do list. Looking back, it seems so crazy now. With amount of vaccinations on the rise, I feel better about getting onto a plane, but I’m being far more conscious, aware and with a mindset that says “this no longer the routine” and to understand the meaning of having the privilege to travel safely. Who knows how things will be in the near or far future, but I’m thinking so much right now about how we’ve all adapted, and how this is going to deeply affect our decisions on what is right or wrong, natural or unnatural, when it comes to our past routines. Let’s just say, traveling won’t be taken lightly anymore. #35mm #film
South facing windows at golden hour. Never gets old. Someday, I’ll have a house with huge south facing windows.
This view is the perfect backdrop for Cat Power’s Manhattan. Oh New York, you’ve pulled me in so many directions since the day I stepped foot here . . . in, out and around the ideas of love and hate, but I wouldn’t be ME without you. Weekend thoughts from me and the city.
