I don’t think many things compare to the outline of mountains in the distance during sundown. Art created by Mother Nature. I like to call it a purposeful accident. Every soft curve. Every sharp crevice. The differences in shading and tone. The feeling of being light years away but at reach all at the same time. It gives me such a good feeling to know this exists for us all to see and find a way to be one with.

I felt so lucky to have woken up next to my love and surrounded by nature on my birthday last year. Still crazy to think this was all last year. I’m not one to care about doing something extra for my birthday, but this trip was one for the books; so stand out in every way. This week really kept me in the present. It solidified my appreciation for each moment for what it is. Just feeling that connection with rough dirt beneath my feet with every climb sums up what I came here for. And I laughed so many deep laughs this week. Getting older, wiser, more free and more grateful each day.
